At Patterson Personnel we are proud of our reputation for a high quality, reliable and honest service. We will depend on you to maintain our high standard of service to our clients.
To help us do this and to keep you regularly employed, we offer the following helpful hints:
- You never get a second chance to make a first impression. Always dress in corporate attire, be courteous and smile.
- Allow extra time on the first day of a new assignment to ensure punctuality.
- If your initial work instructions are unclear - ask questions. Better to ask too many than not enough.
- Should you temporarily run out of work, ask if there is any way you may be of further help. When completing the assignment, thank the client.
- The client’s phone, fax and photocopier are not for your personal use. When required, make phone calls in your lunch hour.
- Never get involved in office politics.
- Any information you are privy to is confidential. Never discuss anything you have seen or heard with anybody else.
- Even when engaged on a repetitive short-term assignment, be professional and pro-active. By showing pleasantness and initiative, the client may request you for a more interesting, long term assignment elsewhere in the company.
- Always work the hours that were requested of you by your Consultant. Any variation, especially involving overtime, must be checked with the client and Patterson Personnel so that it can be approved.
- We encourage you to register with more than one agency. However, should you accept an assignment elsewhere, phoning Patterson Personnel as soon as possible with a contact number will enable us to offer you work for a future date.
- If you are late or ill, you must inform your Consultant, not the client, by 8.30am.
- Should you receive training on a new piece of technology, always keep us informed. This improves your chances of more work, using your new skills. It is always an idea to keep a notebook of the equipment you use on various assignments.
- All time sheets must be signed by both you AND the client. If requested, a copy should be left for the client. The signed copy must be faxed to us no later than 10am on Monday mornings for all work completed the week before.
- Your wages will be direct credited into your account on Wednesday and funds cleared and available on Thursday (except in the week of a public holiday). If ever you are caught without a timesheet, please phone us and we will gladly fax you one.
- You will be posted a pay slip that night.
- At the completion of your assignment a Performance Check will be forwarded to the client for their comments.
Above all, communication is the key towards a mutually beneficial working relationship. Please feel free at any time to come into our office for a coffee and chat. We look forward to any honest feedback you can offer that will enable us to place you in positions most suited to you or help us improve our performance.
